Take the opportunity to get inspiration for your future! At Utnarm, you have the possibility to broaden your horizons and explore exciting industries and the variety of companies available. Many companies have good advice for future course options and what your studies can lead to.

General but valuable advice can be found at all companies, so please do not hesitate to talk to the company that you do not think fits you, because who knows what you want to work with in the future? Even during years 1 and 2, you have good opportunities to make contacts that can lead to interesting summer jobs.

Here you have the perfect opportunity to talk to those companies that seem interesting for summer jobs, thesis and future employment. An excellent opportunity to get inspiration for the choices of courses in your education.

Ask the companies what they look for in their employees - perhaps they want students who have been on exchange studies or students who have been involved in the student union.

Utnarm could be your step out into working life, so come prepared. Get all the information you need about your thesis and jobs after graduation. Build contacts and collect information about the companies you think would suit you. But remember to think outside the box, perhaps your dream company is something very different than you originally thought - which way do you want to go?

What Is a Virtual Career Fair?

A virtual career fair is quite similar to a physical career fair. You get to meet and chat online with potential employers from numerous different companies and organizations and hear more about their work, organization, values, and opportunities.

Virtual Stalls

Before the event, you can learn about the companies by visiting their virtual stall on the platform. The companies can post jobs, videos, scheduled meeting slots, company descriptions, and much more in the stall. From October 29th most of the exhibitors will have their stall online. Do not forget to visit the platform before the fair day to see which companies are joining this year!

Chat With Companies

During the event, you have the chance to chat with representatives from the companies and organizations, just like in a physical fair. In addition to writing to companies, you can request a video or voice call from the employer for a more personal experience. Don’t be afraid to talk to companies!

Breakout Rooms

At the fair, some companies will have a breakout session where they can reach a handful of you for a discussion about their organization, work culture and opportunities! You can sign up for the breakout room at the company’s virtual stall.

Webinars & Scheduled Video Meetings

During the fair day, you can also attend webinars on the fair and sign up for a video conversation with the companies. A webinar can be a presentation by a company or similar, an interview or a panel discussion that is live on the platform. As a student, you have the chance to ask questions during the webinar.

A video meeting is a short one-on-one conversation with a company representative that you can sign up for. The available slots can be found on the company’s virtual stall. This is a great opportunity to get some insights more tailored to your interest!

Lounge

Utnarm is known for our homemade fika which is greatly appreciated by both students and exhibitors. Our fika comes in great varieties! Whether you are vegan, gluten intolerant or eat everything there will be something for you in our lounge!

Our lounge is also a great hang out spot if you want to talk to companies or your friends. Visit our lounge during the fair (Thursday, 11th November 2021, 09:00 to 16:00), you can find it in the exam hall ( Tentamenslokal Hus 5)!

Fika delivery

If you want to lounge at home we offer fika delivery, we deliver the fika to some of the bigger student housing areas. You can find the formto get fika on Utnarm's facebook page.

CV-photo

When was the last time you updated your CV photo? During the grand opening, you will be able to get a professional photo of yourself. This is a great opportunity to get a great picture for your profile at the virtual fair as well! Put on your business wear and meet us in Mellanrummet, near häggsalen at Ångström, 2 pm - 4 pm. Drop in, no registration. 

CV- review

As a recently graduated student, you are highly sought after when you enter the job market. But to get the job you want, you need to put time and energy into your resume and your personal letter. During the Grand opening, you can join the Swedish Association of Graduate Engineers (Sveriges Ingenjörer) in their CV review event and get a lot of good advice on how to improve your resume.
